ENERGY. DIESEL GROUPS
About the project:
One of our main clients is ENDESA. The production of electric energy in places such as the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla takes place through large engines fueled by diesel. All these plants have an important particularity in common: the so called “Control in Island”. They receive this name since they are isolated plants from the REE and the regions where they are located depend exclusively on them for any electric supplying, therefore they are considered very critical installations
Our control systems are working in several power generation groups of the Diesel Plant in Ceuta, the Diesel Plant in Melilla and the the Diesel Plant of Puntagrande in Lanzarote, all of them belonging to ENDESA. They are distributed systems controlling all the bundled plants (auxiliary services of the plant) using decentralized topologies such as PROFIBUS or PROFINET. They consist on
tens of automatons that implement the remote control through high availability SCADA systems, guaranteeing the reliability of this kind of installations.
